8. The show does not work ... Display properly ...
Play correctly ... Why ?
Not an easy one to answer I'm afraid - each system is slightly different
from the next. Something that could look and play perfectly well on one
computer might not work or display too well on another computer. Sometimes
.. sooner or later you are going to come across a show that simply won't
work for you for some reason. The best bit of advice we can give you is to
simply forget about it and download the next one.
Having said that - here are some of the most commonly reported problems.
Q-Text is all garbled
A-Normally a screen resolution problem. Our shows are mainly designed to be
run at a screen resolution of 1024*768
Q-No Sound
A-Normally a codec problem. Try to un-install or re-install your media
player.
Failing this the only fix we have found for this is to re-install windows on
your hard drive.
Q-File did not play correctly all the way through.
A-It could be that we sent out a bad file - it has been known to happen.
Check the forums or the website to see if others are having the same
problems.
Q-I'm getting an error message.
A-Could be anything - Have you set file association
?
Some software you recently installed could blocking the show from playing ?
A change in anti-virus or Firewall settings could block things from
downloading/working.
Your best option is to do a
google search on the EXACT error message you are getting and go from
there.
As I said earlier though ... we all get a show from time to time that for
one reason or another will not play on our computer system, the best thing I
can tell you is to move on and download the next one and not worry about it.
